Powell Peralta Per Welinder Nordic Skull Skateboard Decks

The Per Welinder Viking Skull graphic, illustrated by V.C. Johnson in 1984, was designed to represent Per's Swedish heritage with its fanged fantasy design. Originally created for his freestyle model without the rock texture background, the graphic received an updated version in 1986 that included the additional feature. In 1987, a new full-length graphic was introduced for a street model as Per started incorporating freestyle/street demos into his repertoire.

The eighth century Runic stone lettering on the graphic spells out Per's name, along with the accompanying quote, "Search and strive, push beyond with strength, yours not theirs, that is the key," a phrase coined by Per himself. The graphic was not only featured on skateboards but also on T-shirts and stickers. The artwork was released in 1984 and the deck dimensions are as follows: Deck Width = 7.25", Deck Length = 27", Wheelbase = 11.5", Deck Nose = 4.88", Deck Tail = 5.78". The truck hole pattern is Long 4 - 2.5" Old School Truck Hole Pattern, and the deck is sold separately without grip tape. The shape of the deck is 286, with a concave FK2 design.
