Powell Peralta Nordic Skull Freestyle Skateboard Decks

In 1984, the Per Welinder Viking Skull graphic was illustrated by V.C. Johnson. This fanged fantasy design was created to represent Per's Swedish heritage. Initially, the graphic was featured on his freestyle model deck without the rock texture background. However, in 1986, an updated version was released with the rock texture included. As Per began to demonstrate his freestyle and street skills in 1987, the graphic was adapted for a new full-length street model.

The Runic stone lettering on the graphic dates back to the eighth century and spells out Per's name, along with the quote, "Search and strive, push beyond with strength, yours not theirs, that is the key," which was a personal motto of Per's. The graphic was not only used on decks but also on T-shirts and stickers.

This iconic design was originally released in 1984 and the artwork was done by Vernon Courtlandt Johnson. The deck dimensions are as follows: Width = 7.25", Length = 27", Wheelbase = 11.5", Nose = 4.88", Tail = 5.78". The truck hole pattern is Long 4 - 2.5" Old School Truck Hole Pattern, with Shape 286 and Concave FK2. Please note that this listing is for the deck only, griptape is not included.
