Shop / powell peralta skateboard
In 1988, Powell-Peralta posted an "Artist Wanted" advertisement in TWS and Thrasher, with the prize being a job in the art department in Santa Barbara. Sean Cliver was chosen because his illustrations were similar to VCJ's style. His first deck design, the Barbee Ragdoll, strayed from the usual VCJ look, but he paid homage to him with the Caballero dragon update. The graphic was later nicknamed "Ban This" Dragon, as it was featured prominently in a video. Released in 1988, the artwork was done by Sean Cliver, with the deck measuring 9.265" in width and 32" in length, with a wheelbase of 14.75". The deck nose and tail are both 6.5" in length, with a truck hole pattern of New School Short 4 Truck Hole Pattern. The shape is 192 with Concave K15, and the deck is sold separately without grip tape.
