Back in 1986, jump ramps were all the rage but decks were constantly snapping. Powell-Peralta sought ways to make their decks stronger, leading to innovations like Bonite construction and the "Gee-Gaw" shape with reinforced break zones, named by Chris Iverson. This shape was also featured in the Skull & Sword graphic, originally produced between 1987 and 1988.

The Powell-Peralta Re-Issue Decks are produced in Mexico using high-quality U.S. hard rock maple and specialized glue to prevent delamination. The shape and graphics are designed in Santa Barbara, CA, ensuring top-notch quality.
